Call for Graduate Student Research Competition Submission

   The Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles is calling for abstract submission to the Graduate Student Research Competition at 2024 International Conference on Clothing and Textiles (ICCT) to be held on May 10 - 11, at the International Convention Center, Jeju, Republic of Korea and online. Graduate students are encouraged to submit their research abstracts for a competition at this international event. A separate on-line oral presentation session will be held for the graduate student research competition. ​ ​

The scope of the conference may include, but are not limited to:
​Textile Science and Technology: Textile Material Science and Technology; Dyeing and Finishing; Smart and Intelligent Textiles
Clothing Science and Technology:  Physiology of Clothing/Textile Products; Protective clothing; Smart and Intelligent clothing; Sportswear; Mass customization; Apparel manufacturing
Economics of Clothing and Textiles/Fashion Business: Management of the Clothing and Textiles Industry; Merchandising; Retailing; Fashion Marketing; Consumer Behavior; Socio-psychology of Fashion
Fashion Design and Cultural Study on Fashion: Aesthetic Aspects of Fashion Product or Design Process; Textiles/Clothing/Fashion Design; Fashion Trend; History of Fashion; Costume or Dress; Fashion Theory; Fashion journalism; Fashion exhibition.

Guideline for authors:

  • Cover page: Research title, author(s) name, affiliation, contact information (address, phone number, and email address)
  • The body of abstract should be no longer than 2 pages including the references.
  • A4 size paper, 2.5cm margins 4 sides, font of Times New Roman, font size of 11, single spaced
  • All abstracts will be double-blind peer reviewed. The authors will be encouraged to submit a full paper of their presentations to the sponsored journal and will be supported with member publication cost (Fashion and Textiles: Indexed in SCIE and SCOPUS), or expedited review process (Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles: Indexed in SCOPUS and KCI). ​​

Students applying to GSRC are exempted from registration at the conference.
Those who are selected as the best presentation in each field of research will be awarded $100 as a prize and an expedited review advantage if the full manuscript is submitted afterwards to one of the journals of KSCT, i.e., the Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles or Fashion and Textiles.
