2026 International Conference on Clothing and Textile Visionary news for future of fashion industry
"The New Fashionscape: Fashion and Gender"

Dear Colleagues,
The Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles (KSCT) is pleased to invite you to the 2026 International Conference on Clothing and Textiles (ICCT) to be held on May 22-23, at the Textile Center, Gangnam District, Seoul. Korea. The ICCT held successfully in 2020, 2022 and 2024, and again calls for abstracts for oral and poster presentations, and graduate students’ research competition. The year, 2026 is more meaningful to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the KSCT. The KSCT, is the largest educational and scientific organization for the field of fashion and textiles in Korea, and its primary goal is to advance research and education for academicians and industry practitioners in this field.
As we face global cultural and societal changes and crisis resulting from flexibility and granularity of values accompanied by radical technology changes, we are seeking to more understanding of the issues related to culture, fashion and gender. With the theme of the 2026 ICCT, The New Fashionscape: Fashion and Gender, the following critical research agenda will be discussed: Innovation in retailing, technology-driven design & manufacturing, new business models, future of fashion and culture, emphasis on diversity, role of media and technology, and paradigm shift in fashion/textile education.
We have globally-renowned Dr. Andrew Reilly, Dr. Judith Beyer, and Dr. Yuniya Kawamura as keynote speakers.
I sincerely thank them for accepting the invitation.
And also, the 50th anniversary banquet and celebration will be held on the 22nd at the Raum, Gangnam District, Seoul.
A variety of programs has also been prepared to experience the Korean culture and fashion industry.
